Budd-built in 1952 for CB&Q's "American Royal Zephyr." Acquired by Amtrak after 1971. Retired in 1979 and used by American Association of Railroads and Department of Transportation until sold to present owner in 1984. The friendliest owner-operated on-board service available! 4 double bedrooms, 4 roomettes, 2 open sections, 2 showers, new galley for full meal service in dining/lounge area. Rear-facing solarium observation windows added at vestibule end during major car upgrade.
